What you will find

The cellar and the garden are open to guests who come for a single evening as much as to groups who take the whole place.

A vaulted wine cellar

Brick vaulting, one long table and quiet underground. The cellar works in any weather and stays pleasantly cool through the summer.

Outdoor garden

Seating in front of the cellar, right on the lane. You can grill on the portable fire pit, which we set up for guests.

Accommodation for eight

A full self-catering flat with its own kitchen and a large communal room, available all year. After an evening with wine, nobody has to drive.

Vineyards at the door

The Podluží wine trail runs through the cellar lane, so you can ride straight out among the vines. The open-cellar events nearby are walkable, so nobody needs to drive.

Wines

The cellar carries a wide choice of local wines from the surrounding vineyards, white and red, dry and sweeter, depending on what the year gave.

The selection changes through the year. Tell us what you like drinking and we will tell you what is in the cellar right now.

Where Nechory is

Nechory is a lane of wine cellars above the village of Prušánky, in the warmest and driest corner of the country. More than four hundred cellars and búdy stand here, and nobody lives in them permanently. They were built from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, and the settlement splits into Upper and Lower Nechory, the lower part with its own little square and side lanes.

This is Podluží, part of the Slovácko wine sub-region. The folk traditions are alive here, and the Podluží wine trail runs through the cellar lane, so you can arrive by bike and carry on among the vineyards. From Nechory it is under half an hour to the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, and about the same to Hodonín and Břeclav.

Something to do in every season

Nechory is not only a summer place. Each part of the year looks different.

Spring

The vineyards wake up and the field tracks are good for cycling before the heat. Open cellar days start in April in Mutěnice and Velké Bílovice.

Summer

The cellar keeps its cool and the garden is for grilling late into the evening. In June the open cellars are here in Nechory, and weekly rotas nearby mean you can taste wine without a booking.

Autumn

Grape harvest, burčák and zarážání hory. In September Prušánky celebrates in folk costume, and in November the cellars open the young wine.

Winter

A quiet cellar lane, long evenings over red wine and a communal room for the whole group. Lednice and Valtice have no queues, and the Salon vín is open all year but January.
